Momma's Getting Fit in 2015!

Okay truth time - I am going to be honest. In fact I'm hoping this little blog of mine will keep me honest!

Here it goes:

My resolution actually happened back at the start of December, I was trying to "dress up" my leggings. That was the moment I knew it was time to get my old self back. True I had a baby, but that was 10 months ago. In fact now I have to say I had a baby last year! Truly it was time to get my butt in gear.

I am a nightmare of a client for most trainers, I have an insane schedule, good luck trying to pry my phone out of my hands, I can go an entire day without drinking any water (shocking I know) and to top it all off I'm a homebody so getting me to a gym is tough to say the least.

Gotta have cute gym attire, right?
Even though I had a baby 10 months ago, I still feel like my pregnancy left indelible marks on my body. My tummy is squishy, my belly button well… it looks lived in. Is it possible that my hips spread? It's true things have kinda gone back and my SM have faded to a dull reminder, but I knew that whatever workout I chose needed to be guided by the fact that I have had a baby.

Cue Jessie Mundell. I had featured her a few months back because what she does is just so unique. Her focus is working with women pre-pregnancy, during pregnancy and post. She understands what has happened to our bodies and what we need to do to get our bodies back. The most appealing part of my discussion is that she understood it was basically impossible for me to workout 5 days a week. She knew that whatever she created for me had to give me maximum impact with minimum time. She has convinced me that two days at the gym and one home workout will show me results within a month.

So here is my plan as per the wise Jessie:
Drink 1 litre of water a day
2-3 visits to the gym per week
10 min workout 3 - 4 days a week at home

My friendly neighbourhood weight room
I am not familiar with the weight room - in fact it has always been part of the gym that I steer clear of. I have always felt intimidated. Jessie has promised to teach me that weights are exactly what I need to be a strong healthy mama. I'm still sceptical but I trust her.

Let's do this!

Wish me luck! And to all the momma's who are feeling the same way I am, I invite you to join me in my fitness experiment!
