Shopping Cruelty Free

As if diving into fitness wasn't a big enough resolution, I have also decided that I would like to be more conscious with the products I use and the brands I buy.

As an animal lover, I have decided to make a commitment to cruelty free products. With something that is such a big under taking, it initially feels like a big investment. Therefore, I've decided to do it slowly. With each product that runs out, I am going to buy a new one that conforms to my resolution.

Here are a couple of brands I am going to try. Hopefully this inspires you to try some too!

Ps. Read to the end of the post for a cruelty free treat ;)

Sole Society

I'm not a vegan, but I like the alternative and the handbags are so cute!

Eco Diva

Another great Canadian line, based in Vancouver.
They ship the most beautiful packages. Amazing customer service. They will post pics of lip colours if you are feeling unsure. I hear their dry shampoo is amazing. I can't wait to try it out!

One Love Organics

With a philosophy that starts "we like to avoid stuff," I knew I couldn't wait to try One Love out. I always find that there is just too much "stuff" sometimes, and that a little simplicity goes a long way! This is so true for skin products as well, which is what One Love Organics specializes in!

Lush

A go-to for face masks and shampoo. There is a purple one for blondes that I love. Here are a few others I'm eager to try:

Julep

Carries the prettiest 5 free nail polish. And the icing on the cake? They work with organizations that empower women, such as The Malala Fund, Girl Up, and the Washington Anti-Trafficking Response Network. Amazing!

Now let's look at their pretty things:

This is what I am starting with! Like I said, it is a big undertaking, but I am looking forward to it, and interested to see what other finds it will lead to!

And exciting news for all of our readers! The lovelies at Eco Diva are giving our readers a special treat: spend more than $100 at Eco Diva and receive a free Pursoma - Ocean Potion Bath with your purchase (while supplies last)!
